On 11.11.1959 the JG 72 was activated at Leck AFB. The Wing was equiped with two Squadrons
of Canadair CL-13 B Sabre Mk.6. 1964 the Wing was moved to Oldenburg and together with the Reconnaissance Wing 54 the unit was reformd as Fighter Bomber Wing 43. |
