| Helicopter Training School

The HFSLw was activated on 01.01.1971, aircraft and personal came from the deactivated
FFS "S" Gruppe C.
The Unit, based at Faßberg, was responsible for the training of the new helicopter pilots of Army,
Air Force and Navy.
But this new unit didn´t last very long, because already in 1975 it was deactivated.
The Army builds up it´s own training center, the HFlgWaS, at Bückeburg AFB, the Air Force
moved it´s basic training to Fort Rucker and so the HFSLw was integrated in the HTG 64.
